Check your drainage area in your balconies periodically and ensure that rain and regular washing water can drain out easily. Stuck trash or leaves in gutters can clog the drain and lead to water pooling. This can enter your room through the floor-level windows and doors and may seep below your wood floor, causing long-term damage and mould.

– Ensure that your windows and door frames are properly sealed. A good quality sealant does not cost much but goes a long way in ensuring your rooms stay free of water.
